The Vancouver Canucks
announced Monday they have re-signed forward Mason Raymond
to a two-year contract. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. However, multiple media outlets report Raymond will make $2.5 million this season, and $2.6 million in 2011-12.
Raymond, 24, appeared in all 82 games for the Canucks last season and had 53 points (25 goals, 28 assists). He tied for second on the team in power-play goals (8) and established career highs in all offensive categories.
In 203 NHL games, all with Vancouver, Raymond has 45 goals, 52 assists and 74 penalty minutes.
The 6-foot, 185-pound forward was originally drafted by Vancouver in the second round (No. 51) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
