Rangers to unveil anniversary jersey Nov. 12 @NHLdotcom
This year marks the 85th anniversary of the New York Rangers' first season, and as part of their year-long celebration, they'll hold Heritage Week from Nov. 12-17.

Kicking off the event will be the unveiling of a special third jersey the club will during selected games. The event will be held at 7 p.m. ET on Nov. 12 at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. In attendance will be some current Rangers, including Henrik Lundqvist, Sean Avery and Marian Gaborik, as well as Rangers legends like Brian Leetch, Adam Graves, Rod Gilbert and Eddie Giacomin.

Following the event there will be a free public skate from 8 p.m. to midnight at the rink at Rockefeller Center.

The Rangers' 85th anniversary jersey will be available exclusively at the NHL Powered By Reebok Store starting at 7 p.m. on Nov. 12. Rangers past and present are expected to make appearances at the NHL Store after the unveiling at Rockefeller Center.
