Zuccarello finds net on shootout

NYI@NYR: Zuccarello tallies in SO as puck trickles in

Ever see slow motion replay in real time? That's what Mats Zuccarello's shootout goal looked like on Thursday night.

The New York Rangers forward skated slowly toward New York Islanders goalie Jaroslav Halak, waiting and baiting until the very last second before making his move.

Careful not to stop his moment, Zuccarello quickly deked, then tried to slip it past Halak on his stick side. Halak got a piece of it as the puck rattled between his blocker and right leg pad, but it kept tumbling, end over end, and when it hit the ice, slid over the goal line with help from the goalie's right skate.

Zuccarello's expression after the score is a dead giveaway that even he knew he got a lucky bounce.
