Rangers going with same lineup vs. Flyers

by Adam Kimelman

PHILADELPHIA -- Coming off one of the New York Rangers' better efforts of the season in their previous game, coach John Tortorella said he will stick with the same lineup he used Saturday when his team faces the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday (7:30 p.m. ET, NBCSN).

That means Henrik Lundqvist will be back in goal. In seven games since the calendar flipped to April, Lundqvist is 5-1-1 with a 1.53 goals-against average and .948 save percentage. In the Rangers' 1-0 overtime win against the New York Islanders, Lundqvist stopped all 29 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season.

"If he wasn't standing on his head that game we would not have won that one," defenseman Anton Stralman told "He saved us two points right there."

The Flyers, who won 7-3 at the Montreal Canadiens on Monday, opted not to skate Tuesday. They will have at least one lineup change; defenseman Kent Huskins is out indefinitely with a concussion sustained on a first-period hit by the Canadiens' Ryan White. In addition, the Flyers announced Tuesday that Bruno Gervais needs surgery to repair a torn stomach muscle and will be out indefinitely.

The team Tuesday recalled two defensemen from their American Hockey League affiliate, Brandon Manning and Matthew Konan. Manning was a plus-1 with six shots on goal in four NHL games last season; he has 21 points and 135 penalty minutes in 65 AHL games this season. Konan, an undrafted free agent signed last April after five seasons with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League, has two goals and four assists in 42 AHL games this season. He's also spent time in the ECHL.

With the Flyers having played Monday, it's possible Steve Mason could start in net. In three career games against the Rangers, Mason is 1-0-1 with a 3.29 GAA and .907 save percentage. In seven games against the Rangers as a member of the Flyers, Bryzgalov is 1-6-0 with a 3.68 GAA and .863 save percentage.
