Jesper Fast of Rangers out with upper-body injury

Forward expected to miss 2-3 weeks @NHLdotcom

Forward Jesper Fast of the New York Rangers will miss 2-3 weeks with an upper-body injury sustained during a 4-1 loss to the Washington Capitals on Tuesday.

Fast played 14:08 against Washington but left the ice after a hit by Alex Ovechkin in the third period.

Fast has 20 points (five goals, 15 assists) this season and is plus-8 in 59 games, averaging 13:54 of ice time. He has 64 points (21 goals, 43 assists) in 207 NHL games, all with the Rangers, who selected him in the sixth round (No. 157) of the 2010 NHL Draft.
