Rangers edge Flyers on Yandle's penalty-shot goal @NHLdotcom

Keith Yandle scored on a penalty shot in overtime to give the New York Rangers a 3-2 win against the Philadelphia Flyers at Madison Square Garden on Monday.

Yandle was in on a breakaway against Philadelphia goalie Steve Mason when Flyers forward Scott Laughton was called for hooking at 1:16 of overtime.

Dan Girardi and Chris Kreider scored third-period goals to tie the game 2-2.

The Flyers took a 2-0 lead on goals by Mark Streit in the first period and Wayne Simmonds in the second.

Mason made 41 saves.

Antti Raanta played the entire game for the Rangers and made 27 saves.

New York was 0-for-6 on the power play; Philadelphia was 1-for-6.
