Rangers captain Drury out for Game 1 @NHLdotcom

WASHINGTON (AP) -Rangers captain Chris Drury is sitting out Game 1 of New York's first-round playoff series against the Washington Capitals.

Drury is New York's only scratch for Wednesday night's opener.

He returned to practice Tuesday after missing four days with an undisclosed injury and was considered a game-time decision.

Enforcer Donald Brashear and defenseman Brian Pothier are Washington's scratches.

But defenseman Tom Poti and forward Boyd Gordon are in uniform for the Capitals after missing the end of the regular season with injuries.
