Rajala has hat trick as Brandon Wheat Kings blast Regina Pats 10-2 @NHLdotcom

BRANDON, Man. - Toni Rajala scored three goals and added two assists as the Brandon Wheat Kings blasted the Regina Pats 10-2 in the Western Hockey League on Friday night.

Shayne Wiebe scored twice for Brandon (42-16-4), while Brayden Schenn, Scott Glennie and Jesse Sinatynski also tallied.

Rajala's first WHL hat trick came on a night when linemates Jay Fehr and Aaron Lewadniuk both had four-point games, with a goal and three assists each.

Wheat Kings' netminder Jacob De Serres made 16 save

Jordan Eberle and Jordan Weal replied for Regina (25-29-7), while Damien Ketlo stopped 20 of 25 shots for Regina before being replaced in the second period by Dawson Guhle, who made 15 saves on 20 shots.

The teams combined for 172 minutes in penalties in the game.
