Raiders snap six-game losing streak with 4-2 win over Broncos @NHL

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Max Brandl scored the game-winning goal and the Prince Albert Raiders snapped a six-game losing streak with a 4-2 win over the Swift Current Broncos in Western Hockey League action Sunday.

Brandl's power-play goal came with 4:26 remaining in the game. James Dobrowolski, Dustin Cameron, and Mike Small also scored for the Raiders, who won for the first time since defeating Red Deer 4-1 on Oct. 6.

Defenceman Jeff May, who has yet to score a goal this season, added three assists for the Raiders, giving him a team-leading 11 on the season.

Overage defenceman Michael Wilson and fellow blue-liner Eric Doyle scored for the Broncos.

Broncos netminder Travis Yonkman stopped 19 of 23 shots in the loss to lower his record to 6-3-0-2.

Raiders overage goaltender Dustin Butler stymied the Broncos for 60 minutes, stopping 37 of 39 shots to improve his record to 3-6-2-0.

Prince Albert improves their record to 4-9-2-0 to sit fifth in the East Division. Swift Current's record drops to 8-3-0-2, two points behind the Regina Pats for second spot in the East Division.
