Rai scores two as Thunderbirds defeat Rockets 3-1 to snap winless streak @NHLdotcom

KENT, Wash. - Prab Rai scored twice in the third period as the Seattle Thunderbirds defeated the Kelowna Rockets 3-1 Sunday night in Western Hockey League action.

Rai scored midway through the period to put the Thunderbirds (15-35-11) up 2-0 and added an empty-netter to ice the victory. He also assisted on Branden Troock's opening goal.

Tyson Barrie had the lone goal for Kelowna (29-29-3).

Calvin Pickard made 42 saves for Seattle, while Rockets netminder Mark Guggenberger stopped 20 shots.
