SEATTLE - Prab Rai scored his ninth goal of the season and had a pair of assists to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 5-2 win over the Everett Silvertips.
The Thunderbirds (4-9-0-1) built a 3-0 lead in the first period on goals by Jeremy Boyer, David Richard and Chris Cloud.
The Silvertips (6-6-1-0) scored two power play goals in the second period to close the gap. Daniel Bartek had the first one and Kellan Tochkin the second with only three seconds left in the second period.
Jim O'Brien scored his second of the season for Seattle at 2:57, a power score to make it 4-2 before Rai scored unassisted at 9:30 of the third period.
It was the last scheduled meeting at KeyArena between the two teams before the Thunderbirds move to the Kent Events Center. In five seasons, Seattle was 19-4-0-1 with three ties against Everett at KeyArena.
The Thunderbirds are scheduled to open the Kent Events Center on January 4 against the Silvertips.
Everett has won the first two meetings of its 10-game series against Everett this season.
