Raedeke scores twice as Brandon drops Saskatoon 4-1; takes 2-0 series lead @NHLdotcom

SASKATOON - Brent Raedeke scored twice, including the winner, to lead the Brandon Wheat Kings to a 4-1 victory over the Saskatoon Blades in the Western Hockey League playoffs on Saturday night.

Toni Rajala and Matt Calvert also scored for the Wheat Kings, who lead the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final 2-0, with the series headed to Brandon, Man., for Game 3 on Wednesday.

Travis Toomey replied for the Blades.

Brandon netminder Andrew Hayes, making his first start of the playoffs, recorded 30 saves. Steven Stanford stopped 27 shots for Saskatoon.
