Radja scores shootout winner, IceHogs end Manitoba's six-game winning streak @NHLdotcom

WINNIPEG - Mike Radja scored in the fifth round of a shootout to lead the Rockford IceHogs over the Manitoba Moose 2-1 in American Hockey League action Thursday.

The loss ended Manitoba's six-game winning streak.

Judd Blackwater opened the scoring on Rockford's first power play at 12:30 of the first period. Blackwater took Moose goaltender Curtis Sanford by surprise and snuck the puck between his left pad and the left goal post to put Rockford up 1-0.

The lead stood until the second period, when Raymond Sawada beat Antti Niemi to tie the game 1-1.

Antti Niemi made 24 saves for Rockford (24-19-0-4) while Sanford stopped 27 shots for Manitoba (32-13-0-3).
