Radek Meidl scores twice as Tri-City beats Kamloops 6-2 in playoff action @NHLdotcom

KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Radek Meidl scored twice as the Tri-City Americans completed a sweep of the Kamloops Blazers with a 6-2 win in WHL action Wednesday.

Brett Plouffe, Drew Hoff, Blair Macaulay, and Lane Werbowski added goals for the Americans, who have won nine straight games. Juuso Puustinen and Ivan Rohac replied for the Blazers, who lost 18 of their last 19 games.

Tri-City goaltenders Chet Pickard and Kyle Birch, who came on at 14:48 of the third period for his first playoff action, combined to stop 16 shots, while Kamloops' Justin Leclerc made 35 saves.
