NHL.com @NHLdotcom
* Teams that could make the biggest move up the standings tonight are Phoenix and Nashville - Phoenix win vs. Vancouver would move them up two spots, from 7th to 5th in the West. Various results could move Nashville from 11th to 9th.

* None of the three teams just below the line in the West (#9 Minnesota, #10 Anaheim, #11 Nashville) can move into the top eight tonight.

* Boston can claim first place in the East if they defeat Montreal in regulation or overtime combined with a Philly regulation loss to Edmonton.

* Buffalo can move ahead of the Rangers into 7th in the East if they defeat Pittsburgh

* A New Jersey win over Ottawa coupled with a Buffalo loss to Pittsburgh would leave the Devils just six points behind the #8 Sabres with 16 games left on NJ's schedule.

WILD WILD WEST

* Calgary has not had the same conference seed on consecutive days in a week and a half.
