R2-D2 plays soccer with Canucks before 'Star Wars Night'

The Vancouver Canucks found the droid they were looking for.

On the team's "Star Wars Night," R2-D2 showed up for a little pregame soccer with the team and it was shared on social media.

The Canucks got the tin can involved, despite its lack of agility and inability to lift either of its metallic feet off the ground.
R2-D2 wasn't the only "Star Wars" reference of the night. The team used a scroll over space to set up the game against teh Arizona Coyotes.

The famous Cantina band also made an appearance in the stands.

Fans were into it as well.

The Canucks lost to the Coyotes in overtime, so if they want to strike back they will have to wait for the sequel in February.
