R2-D2, the little fixer droid from the Star Wars series, stopped by the Canucks locker room at Prudential Center on Monday.
R2-D2 is in town for the New Jersey Devils' Star Wars night on Friday, but the Canucks got a rare glimpse at the droid in Newark before their game against the Devils on Tuesday. Goalie Ryan Miller, whose father was a fan of the original trilogy, was particularly excited to see and spend time with R2-D2.

"It was impossible to not know about Star Wars growing up in the 80s," Miller, who was born in 1980, told the Canucks' "Fort Nucks" blog. "My dad thought it was a cool movie, and I was 2 or 3 when all the hype was going on for the next movie, so I had all the toys, all the character action figures, an Ewok village, even a rancor."
We'll see if the Canucks gained any Jedi-style tricks from their droid interaction.
