Peter Trainor had a goal and an assist and Jean-Francois Plante had four assists of his own Wednesday as the Rimouski Oceanic defeated the Victoriaville Tigres 6-4 in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Anthony DeLuca, Nicolas Hebert, Michael Joly, Scott Oke and Alexis Loiseau had the other goals for Rimouski (20-10-4). Philippe Desrosiers made 38 saves to get the win.
Jonathan Diaby, Dominik Rehak, William Cochrane and Carl-Antoine Delisle had the goals for Victoriaville (13-14-6).
Brandon Whitney started for the Tigres but allowed four goals on 17 shots before being replaced by Guillaume Decelles, who stopped 15-of-17 shots the rest of the way.
In the only other game in the QMJHL, Chicoutimi downed Shawinigan 3-1.
At Victoriaville, Que., Whitney was pulled after giving up Hebert's goal that made it 4-1 Rimouski at 5:26 of the second.
The goaltending change seemed to spark the Oceanic as Rehak and Cochrane scored before the period was out to cut the deficit to 4-3.
But Oke and Loiseau scored late in the third before Delisle got a consolation goal to make the final 6-4.
Rimouski finished 2-for-5 on the power play, while Victoriaville was scoreless on two opportunities.

At Chicoutimi, Que., Christopher Gibson made 20 saves and Guillaume Asselin had a goal and an assist as the Sagueneens (16-15-3) downed Shawinigan (6-23-3).
