QMJHL Roundup: Herzog with four points as Remparts defeat Phoenix @NHLdotcom

SHERBROOKE, Que. - Fabrice Herzog scored once and set up three more as the Quebec Remparts edged the host Sherbrooke Phoenix 5-4 on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Adam Erne and Nick Sorensen each had a goal and an assist for the Remparts (25-12-8) while Massimo Carozza and Cody Donaghey scored the others.

Matej Beran had a pair of goals for Sherbrooke (14-26-5), Daniel Audette had a goal and two assists and Jean-Francois Lavoie scored once.

Quebec's Callum Booth made 27 saves for the win. Maxime Lagace stopped 36 shots for the Phoenix.

The Remparts went 1 for 7 on the power play while Sherbrooke scored twice on five chances with the man advantage.



CHARLOTTETOWN ? Raphael Lafontaine scored the winner at 17:28 of the third period to lift the visiting Titan over the Islanders.

Scott Oke also scored for Acadie-Bathurst (17-23-4), notching his 14th of the season at 16:30 of the first period.

Vladislav Lysenko replied for the Islanders (17-22-5) with a power-play goal at 10:15 of the third.

Jacob Brennan made 39 saves for the win, while Charlottetown's Mason McDonald stopped 26 shots in the losing effort.



BOISBRIAND, Que. ??? Daniel Walcott scored at 4:25 of overtime as the Armada slipped past Saint John.

Nikita Jevpalovs and Marc-Olivier Roy also scored for Blainville-Boisbriand (28-9-7) while Jevpalovs added an assist for a two-point outing.

Noah Zilbert and Oliver Cooper each had a goal and an assist for the Sea Dogs (11-27-4) and Matthew Highmore chipped in with two assists.

Samuel Montembault made 21 saves for the Armada as Sebastien Auger turned away 35-of-38 for Saint John.



DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. ??? Jerome Verrier and Christophe Lalancette each scored twice as the Voltigeurs toppled Cape Breton.

Nikolas Brouillard scored once and set up three more for Drummondville (27-15-2) while Alexandre Grand-Maison and Georgs Golovkovs had a goal apiece.

The Screaming Eagles (22-19-3) got goals form Raphael Corriveau, Julien Pelletier and Max Lindsay.

Joe Fleschler made 19 saves for the Voltigeurs. Cape Breton's Alex Bureau stopped 36-of-43 shots in a losing cause.



GATINEAU, Que. ??? Emile Poirier had two goals and an assist as the Olympiques thumped Rimouski.

Martin Reway, Marc Beckstead, Vaclav Karabacek, Alexandre Carrier and Frank Schumacher also scored for Gatineau (28-15-1) and Robert Steeves made 25 saves for the win.

Francois Beauchemin and Michael Joly supplied the offence for the Oceanic (26-12-7).

Rimouski's Philippe Desrosiers allowed four goals on 16 shots before giving way to Olivier Tremblay, who stopped 27-of-30 shots in 39 minutes of relief.



ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. ??? Phlippe Cadorette kicked out all 42 shots he faced as Baie-Comeau blanked the Huskies.

Alexandre Ranger scored the game's only goal for Baie-Comeau (28-12-4) at 19:03 of the second period

Jean-Sebastien Dea led Rouyn-Noranda (25-13-5) with nine shots on goal while Guillaume Decelles made 18 saves in a losing cause.

Both clubs went 0 for 2 on the power play.



VICTORIAVILLE, Que. ??? Jean-Francois Plante scored his 35th and 36th goals of the season and added an assist, and Jan Mandat scored the winner as Victoriaville edged the Sagueneens.

Jonathan Diaby had a goal and an assist, and Philippe Hudon also scored for the Tigres (19-19-6). Angelo Miceli chipped in with three assists.

Nicolas Roy scored two goals for Chicoutimi (22-22-1), Laurent Dauphin had a goal and an assist, and Janne Puhakka added the other goal.

Francois Tremblay stopped 27 shots for the Tigres, while Chicoutimi's Julio Billia made 41 saves in the loss
