HALIFAX - The Halifax Mooseheads didn't take many shots, but they made the most of them in a 5-1 win over the Gatineau Olympiques Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Nikolaj Ehlers led the Mooseheads (36-18-3) with two goals and an assist, and Andrew Shewfelt, Luca Ciampini and Matt Murphy also scored for Halifax, who were outshot 26-18. Jonathan Drouin helped out with two assists.
Adam Stevens replied for Gatineau (34-18-4).
Zachary Fucale made 25 saves for Halifax. Robert Steeves allowed five goals on 11 shots for the Olympiques, while teammate Anthony Brodeur turned back all seven shots he faced over 24 minutes.
ISLANDERS 4 WILDCATS 3 (SO)
CHARLOTTETOWN ? David Henley scored the equalizer at 18:18 of the third period, and Alexandre Goulet got the only goal of the shootout to lead the Islanders over Moncton.
Troy Vance and Craig MacLauchlan also scored for Charlottetown (18-33-5).
Vladimir Tkachev had two goals for the Wildcats, and Christophe Lalonde, with his 34th of the season, made it 3-2 Moncton (29-25-3) at 15:14 of the third period.
Eric Brassard made 30 saves for the Islanders, while a busy Jason Rioux handled 37 shots for the Wildcats.

SHERBROOKE, Que. ??? Jerome Verrier snapped a 2-2 tie in the third period as the Voltigeurs edged the Phoenix.
Matthew Boudens and Olivier Caouette got the other Drummondville (33-17-3) goals.
Matej Beran and Daniel Audette replied for Sherbrooke (15-32-7), which lost its seventh in a row.
Drummondville netminder Joe Fleschler made 17 saves, while Francis Desrosiers turned back 34 shots for the Phoenix.
