GATINEAU, Que. - Elie Berube scored 33 seconds into overtime as the Gatineau Olympiques edged the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 5-4 on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Louick Marcotte had a pair of goals in regulation time for Gatineau (3-1-1), while Alex Dostie and Jonathan Bourcier also scored.
Kyle Farrell struck twice for Capre Breton (3-1-1), while Clark Bishop and Charles-Eric Legare had goals as well.
Gabriel Parent started in net for the Olympiques, stopping seven of nine shots he faced in 8:28 of work. Anthony Brodeur replaced him, turning aside 15 of 17 shots and earning the win.
Francois Brassard made 33 saves for the Screaming Eagles.
Gatineau went 1 for 7 on the power play, while Cape Breton was 2 for 3 with the man advantage.

Samuel Blais, Jordan Ty Fournier and Yan Pavel Laplante also scored as part of the Tigres (3-1-1) outburst. Felix Lauzon and Gabriel Gagne opened the scoring to give Victoriaville a 2-0 lead.
Olivier Galipeau, Julien Gauthier and Anthony Beauregard supplied the offence for Val-d'Or (2-4-0).
