QMJHL Roundup: Beaudin's three-point night leads Huskies over Sea Dogs

ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. - Jean-Christophe Beaudin had a goal and two assists and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies scored four times in the second period en route to a 5-1 rout of the Saint John Sea Dogs on Friday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play.

Jeremy Lauzon, Mathieu Lemay, Mathieu Boucher and Francis Perron supplied the rest of the offence for the Huskies (16-15-2). The win snapped a two-game losing skid for Rouyn-Noranda.

Samuel Dove-McFalls scored his 11th of the season shorthanded for Saint John (20-7-5), which lost in regulation for the first time in seven games.

Alexandre Belanger made 30 saves for the Huskies in the win while Alex Bishop stopped 23 shots for the Sea Dogs.

Rouyn-Noranda scored three times on eight power-play chances while Saint John went 0 for 7 with the man advantage.

Mathieu Joseph of the Sea Dogs received a checking to the head major penalty at 18:37 of the second period.

SYDNEY, N.S. ? Kyle Tibbo scored the deciding goal at 15:07 of the third period as Moncton edged the Screaming Eagles.

Taylor Burke and Dominic Talbot-Tassi also found the back of the net for the Wildcats (20-10-2), who won for the fifth time in six games.

Clark Bishop and Bradley Lalonde scored for Cape Breton (11-16-5).

SHERBROOKE, Que. ??? Alex Bureau made 25 saves as the Phoenix shut out Drummondville.

Raphael Lafontaine, Carl Neill, Tim Wieser and Gabriel Fontaine provided the offence for Sherbrooke (17-12-3), which snapped a four-game losing streak.

Joe Fleschler kicked out 30 shots for the Voltigeurs (16-15-2), who had a three-game winning streak snapped.

GATINEAU, Que. ??? Anthony DeLuca scored the first of four-straight goals for Rimouski over the Olympiques.

Anthony Chapados, Vincent Dunn, Guillaume McSween, Alexis Loiseau and Samuel Laberge rounded out the Oceanic (23-8-2) attack.

Louick Marcotte had a pair of goals for Gatineau (14-16-4) and Alex Dostie also scored. It was the Olympiques fifth straight loss.

Daryl MacCallum started in net for the Islanders (15-17-2), making 20 saves.
