QMJHL Roundup: Alook at Friday's games @NHLdotcom

Danick Gaulthier and Ryan Tesink each had a goal and two assists and Jonathan Huberdeau added two goals of his own as the Saint John Sea Dogs doubled up the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 6-3 Friday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Zack Phillips and Stephen MacAulay each scored singles to round out the scoring for the Sea Dogs (13-5-0).

Morgan Ellis, David Rose and and Kyle Cambell each scored for the Screaming Eagles (7-11-1).

Matthieu Corbiel turned aside 34 shots for the victory while Alexandre Veronneau made 28 saves for the loss.

Elsewhere in the QMJHL, it was: P.E.I. 3, Moncton 2; Quebec 2, Baie-Comeau 0; Victoriaville 3, Acadie-Bathurst 2; Gatineau 3, Drummondville 0; Shawinigan 2, Rimouski 1 and Halifax 3, Val-d'Or 2.

At Saint John, N.B., Huberdeau's eighth goal of the season opened the scoring for the Sea Dogs at 9:22 of the first period.

The game stayed 1-0 until Huberdeau scored his second of the game, on the power play, just 48 seconds into the second period.

Morgan Ellis got the Screaming Eagles on the board two minutes later with a power play goal but three straight Sea Dogs goals from Gaulthier, MacAulay and Tesink made it 5-1 Saint John heading into the third period.

Phiilips increased the Sea Dogs lead to 6-1, 3:24 into the third period.

Screaming Eagles forward Rose scored at 17:26 and Cambell added another goal less than a minute later, but it was too late.

Saint John went 2-4 on the power play while Cape Breton went 1-6.


Rocket 3, Wildcats 2

At Moncton, N.B., Olivier Croteau scored two goals, including the game winner, to lift P.E.I. (5-11-2) over the Wildcats (8-11-1).


Remparts 2, Drakkar 0

At Quebec City, Que., Alexandre Comtois and Adam Erne each had a goal and assist while Louis Domingue made 30 saves for the shutout, as the Remparts (10-3-3) defeated Baie-Comeau (11-6-0).


Tigres 3, Titan 2

At Victoriaville, Que., Phillippe Halley had a goal and two assists and Phillip Danault added three assists as the Tigre (14-6-0) squeezed past Acadie-Bathurst (8-9-2).


Olympiques 3, Voltiguers 0

At Gatineau, Que., Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored two goals and Francois Lacerte turned aside all 25 shots he faced as Gatineau (7-9-0) shutout Drummondville (6-9-1).


Cataractes 2, Oceanic 1

At Shawainigan, Que., Alex Dubeau stopped 27 of 28 shots leading the Cataractes (12-5-2) over Rimouski (10-8-0).


Mooseheads 3, Foreurs 2

At Val-d'Or, Que., Alexandre Grenier score two power-play goals, including the game winner, as Halifax (10-5-0) beat the Foreurs (9-8-2).
