HALIFAX - Alexandre Grenier scored two goals, including the overtime winner, as the Halifax Mooseheads beat the Quebec Remparts 4-3 on Saturday in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Also scoring for the Moosehead (9-5-0) were Nathan MacKinnon, who had one goal and three assists, and Matthew Boudreau who added a power-play goal.

Anthony Duclair, Frederick Roy and Mikhail Grigorenko each scored for the Remparts (9-2-3), who still lead the league in win percentage, despite the loss.

Zachary Fucale turned aside 26 saves for the win while Louis Domingue made 33 saves for the loss.

The Moosehead victory puts them into a second-place tie in their division.

Elsewhere in the QMJHL, it was: Chicoutimi 5, Gatineau 2; Shawinigan 3, Cape Breton 0; Moncton 6, Drummondville 2; Saint John 10, P.E.I. 3; and Rimouski 4, Rouyn-Noranda 2.

At Halifax, MacKinnon opened the scoring for the Moosehead 12:42 into the first period off a pass from Luca Ciampini.

The lead wouldn't last long, however, as Duclair tied the game for the Remparts less than four minutes later, sending the teams to the first intermission tied at one.

The only second-period goal came from Grenier at 18:36, giving the Moosehead back their one goal lead.

Boudreau added a power-play goal at 7:17 of the third period to extend the Halifax lead to two, but just over two minutes later Roy scored for the Remparts to get them back in the game.

Grigorenko's 11th goal of the season came on the power play at 12:22 and tied the game at three to force overtime.

Domingue was strong in goal for the Remparts but Grenier's second goal of the game came late in overtime, giving the Moosehead the victory.
