QMJHL Roundup: A look at Wednesday's games @NHLdotcom

Pierre-Olivier Morin had a goal and two assists Wednesday as the Shawinigan Cataractes defeated the Gatineau Olympiques 4-1 in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Yannick Veilleux added a goal and an assist for Shawinigan (23-9-4), while Anton Zoblin also scored.

Alex Dubeau made 16 saves to pick up the win.

In the only other game in the QMJHL, Chicoutimi edged Victoriaville 4-3.

At Shawinigan, Que., Tomas Hyka had the only goal for Gatineau (16-14-5), which got 27 saves from Francois Lacerte.

Hyka gave the Olympiques a 1-0 less than four minutes into the first before Veilleux tied it at 6:47.

The teams played a scoreless second period, but Morin gave Shawinigan a 3-1 lead at 14:38 of the third and Zlobin sealed it at 18:15.

At Chicoutimi, Que., Gabriel Bourret scored the winning goal and the Sagueneens (16-10-8) withstood a late comeback by Victoriaville (21-11-2).
