QMJHL Roundup: A look at Thursday's games @NHLdotcom

Jeremi Janneteau scored twice as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies edged the P.E.I. Rocket 5-4 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Thursday.

With Rouyn-Noranda (2-2-1) trailing 2-1 early in the second period Janneteau found the back of the net twice in a 3:14 span, starting an offensive explosion that took the Huskies into the intermission up 5-2.

Denis Kamaev had a goal and three assists for Rouyn-Noranda, while Mathieu Brisebois and Mathieu Lemay also counted.

Ben Duffy scored a goal and added an assist for P.E.I. (1-3-1), while Olivier Croteau and Yan Pavel Laplante rounded out the scoring.

Robin Gusse made 24 saves for the Huskies.

P.E.I. goaltender Maxime Lagace made 21 saves on 26 shots before being pulled for Antoine Bibeau who stopped all eight shots he faced.

Elsewhere in the QMJHL, it was: Val-d'Or 7 Moncton 3 and Shawinigan 5 Blaineville-Boisbriand 3.

At Charlottetown, Duffy opened the scoring for P.E.I. on a power play 2:29 into the game, but Kamaev tied the game less than four minutes later.

That parity was short lived though as Laplante restored the Rocket lead just over two minutes later.

P.E.I. held the lead until Janneteau scored his first goal of the game on a power play 1:22 into the second period to tie it and added his second shortly after to give the Huskies the lead.

Lemay scored halfway through the period to extend the lead and Brisebois scored on a power play 3:09 before the intermission to send the teams to the locker-rooms with Rouyn-Noranda up 5-2.

P.E.I. made a game of it though as Duffy scored his second of the game 3:50 into the third and Croteau cut the lead to one just under six minutes later. But that was as close as the Rockets would come.
