QMJHL Roundup: A look at Sunday's games @NHLdotcom

Josh Currie scored twice and setup four more as the P.E.I. Rocket doubled up the visiting Saint John Sea Dogs 6-3 on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

The 20-year-old forward is the first player in the QMJHL to reach the 30-goal mark and he leads all scorers with 30 goals and 61 points in 34 games.

Den Duffy scored twice and added an assist for the Rocket (19-13-2), who have won back-to-back games, while Victor Provencher had a goal and two assists.

Duffy has three goals and seven points in his last two outings and is second only to teammate Currie in league scoring with 58 points in 34 contests.

Alex Micallef added a single goal to round out P.E.I.'s offence.

Aidan Kelly and Stephen Anderson each had a goal and an assist for the Sea Dogs (16-17-0), who lost for the first time in three outings, while Stephen MacAulay scored once.

MacAulay has now picked up a point in four straight games and has two goals and five points in the process.

Antoine Bibeau stopped 23-of-28 shots for his 10th victory of the season as Alex Fournier made 36 saves in a losing cause.

Neither club could produce with the power play as P.E.I. went 0 for 2 and Saint John 0 for 3.

Elsewhere in the QMHJL, it was: Cape Breton 7, Acadie-Bathurst 5; Quebec 3, Chicoutimi 2 (SO); Drummondville 3, Baie-Comeau 2; Rimouski 4, Shawinigan 1 and Victoriaville 3, Sherbrooke 0.

At Charlottetown, Duffy scored twice in the first period to give the Rocket a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes of play.

Provencher made it 3-0 for P.E.I. before Anderson put Saint John on the board at 12:36 of the second period.

Micallef, however, restored a three-goal lead for the Rocket at 19:25.

Currie made it 5-1 1:35 into the third period, however, Kelly and MacAulay scored back-to-back goals to bring the Sea Dogs within two goals.

Currie secured no chances of a Saint John comeback when he scored into an empty net at 19:13.


Screaming Eagles 7 Titan 5

At Sydney, N.S., seven member of the Screaming Eagles (9-21-6) recorded a multi-point game including Kyle Farrell, who had two goals and an assist, as Cape Breton downed Acadie-Bathurst (12-19-5).


Remparts 3 Sagueneens 2 (SO)

At Quebec City, Anthony Duclair had a goal and an assist in regulation time, then added the shootout winner, as the Remparts (23-8-3) edged Chicoutimi (16-16-4) for their first win in three outings.


Voltiguers 3 Drakkar 2

At Baie-Comeau, Que., Domenic Graham turned aside 35 shots and Olivier Caouette scored the winner at 12:13 of the third period as Drummondville (19-14-1) slipped past the Drakkar (21-11-3), who lost for the first time in four outings.


Oceanic 4 Cataractes 1

At Rimouski, Que., Maxime Gravel scored the eventual winner early in the second period and Peter Trainor had a goal and an assist as the Oceanic (22-10-4) extended their winning streak to five games by beating Shawinigan (7-24-3).


Tigres 3 Phoenix 0

At Victoriaville, Que., Brandon Whitney stopped 31 shots and Philippe Halley had a goal and two assists as the Tigres (14-15-6) blanked Sherbrooke (9-21-4) to halt a three-game winless streak.
