QMJHL Roundup: A look at Sunday's games @NHLdotcom

The points are starting to add up for Alex Saulnier.

Saulnier scored two goals and set up one more as the Moncton Wildcats defeated the host Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 4-1 on Sunday afternoon in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

The Moncton forward is currently on an 11-game scoring streak that includes 10 goals and 21 points. With 64 points in 41 games, he has cracked top five in league scoring.

Twin brother Allain Saulnier added two goals and two assists for the Wildcats (22-20-5), who won for the first time in three outings, while Marek Hrivik chipped in with three assists.

Cory MacIntosh scored the lone goal for the Screaming Eagles (18-27-1), who sit third last in league standings.

Philippe Trudeau made 31 saves for the win, while Roman Will stopped 29 shots in defeat.

Moncton went 2 for 3 on the power play while Cape Breton failed to score on their only opportunity with the man advantage.

Elsewhere in the QMJHL, it was: Saint John 5, Acadie-Bathurst 2; Baie-Comeau 2, Rimouski 0; Blainville-Boisbriand 4, Drummondville 3 (SO); Rouyn-Noranda 9, Val-d'Or 3 and Victoriaville 2, P.E.I. 1.

At Sydney, N.S., MacIntosh opened the scoring 25 seconds into the game for Cape Breton, but Alex Saulnier scored twice before the period was through to give the Wildcats a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes of play.

His first goal came at 1:51 and he followed that up with a power-play goal at 16:25.

Allain Saulnier scored the only goal of the second period, also by way of power play, and it came at 5:17.

He added his second of the game into an empty net with 54 seconds remaining in the third period to secure the win.


Sea Dogs 5 Titan 2

At Bathurst, N.B., Zack Phillips, Charles Coyle and Jonathan Huberdeau combined for three goals and nine points as Saint John (34-13-2) won its third straight contest by defeating the Titan (23-20-5).


Drakkar 2 Oceanic 0

At Baie-Comeau, Que., Philippe Cadorette earned first star of the game by making 28 saves as the Drakkar (23-18-4) snapped Rimouski's (28-21-0) four-game winning streak.


Armada 4 Voltiguers 3 (SO)

At Boisbriand, Que., Samuel Hodhod scored once in regulation then added the shootout winner as the Armada (25-18-3) edged Drummondville (18-25-6).


Huskies 9 Foreurs 3

At Rouyn-Noranda, Que., seven members of the Huskies (15-27-5) recorded a multi-point game as they halted Val-d'Or's (21-23-4) three-game winning streak.


Tigres 2 Rocket 1

At Victoriaville, Que., Yanni Gourde scored the game-winning goal for his league-leading 86th point as the Tigres (31-15-2) handed P.E.I. (13-30-4) its third straight defeat.
