The Saint John Sea Dogs' seven-game winning streak came to an end on Sunday.
Zach O'Brien scored the shootout winner to give the Acadie-Bathurst Titan a 6-5 victory over Saint John in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Alec Jon Banville led the Titan (10-14-3) with two goals in regulation time as Mirko Hoefflin, Olivier Houle and O'Brien each added singles.
Tomas Jurco and Ryan Tesink each scored twice for the Sea Dogs (21-6-1) while Kevin Gagne added the other.
Jacob Brennan stopped 33 shots for the win as Sebastien Auger made just 17 saves in defeat.
Acadie-Bathurst scored three times on four power-play chances while Saint John scored once on nine opportunities with the man advantage.
Even with the shootout loss, the Sea Dogs are still first in league standings, two points ahead of the Quebec Remparts.

At Bathurst, N.B., the Titan jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead as Banville scored twice on the power play.
The Sea Dogs cut the lead in half before the period was through when Tesink scored his first of the game at 17:12.
Jurco tied the game at two with a power-play goal at 7:22 of the second period but Houle made it 3-2 Acadie-Bathurst just over a minute later.
Before the second period was finished, Tesink scored his second of the game to make it 3-3 heading into the third period.
Hoefflin scored just a 1:22 into the third giving the Titan their third lead of the game but again Saint John would tie it when Jurco scored his second of the game at 4:45.
The Sea Dogs took their first lead of the game 35 seconds later on a goal from Gagne but O'Brien scored the Titan's third power-play goal of the game to force overtime.
After a scoreless extra period, O'Brien scored in the shootout, giving Acadie-Bathurst a 6-5 win.
