QMJHL Roundup: A look at Saturday's games @NHLdotcom

Phillip Danault scored three times and set up one more as the Victoriaville Tigres defeated the visiting Baie-Comeau Drakkar 7-3 on Saturday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

The 2011 first-round draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks now has six goals and nine points in just five games to open the season.

Angelo Miceli scored once and set up two more for the Tigres (2-2-1) and Jean-Francois Leblanc had a goal and an assist.

Philippe Halley chipped in with three assists while Tristan Pomerleau and Lucas Batt each scored once to round out Victoriaville's offence.

Frederic Gamelin, Gabryel Paquin-Boudreau and Carl Gelinas each scored for the Drakkar (1-3-0), who have dropped three straight games after winning their season opener.

Tigres goaltender Brandon Whitney stopped 34 shots for the victory while Philippe Cadorette allowed six goals on 24 shots before getting pulled in the third period by Baie-Comeau.

Simon Lemieux came on in relief for Cadorette and allowed one goal on the only shot he faced in the final 8:49 of the game.

Victoriaville went 2-for-8 on the power play while Baie-Comeau failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.

Elewhere in the QMJHL, it was: Quebec 5, Sherbrooke 0; Halifax 3, Cape Breton 2; Saint John 3, Gatineau 1; Rouyn-Noranda Blainville-Boisbriand and Drummondville 4, Val-d'Or 3.

At Victoriaville, Que., Micelo opened the scoring 7:32 to into the game with a power-play goal.

Leblanc scored 38 seconds later and Danault's first goal of the game, by way of power play at 14:24, gave the Tigres a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes of play.

Gelinas put Baie-Comeau on the board at 6:31 of the second period, but Danault responded at 14:48 to restore a three-goal lead for Victoriaville heading into the final period.

Pomerleau made it 5-1 less than three minutes into the third period.

Gamelin scored on a penalty shot at 9:01 and Paquin-Boudreau scored 13 seconds later to bring the Drakkar within two goals, however that was it for their offence.

Batt scored at 11:11 and Danault completed his hat trick with a short-handed goal at 16:17


Remparts 5 Phoenix 0

At Sherbrooke, Que., Mikhail Grigorenko and Nick Sorensen each scored twice while Francois Brassard stopped all 19 shots he faced as Quebec (3-0-0) blanked the Phoenix (0-5-0).


Mooseheads 3 Screaming Eagles 2 (SO)

At Halifax, for the first time this season neither Nathan MacKinnon or Jonathan Drouin registered a point in regulation time, however both found the net in the shootout to lift the Mooseheads (3-1-0) over Cape Breton (0-2-3).


Sea Dogs 3 Olympiques 1

At Saint John, N.B., Ryan Tesink had two goals and Sebastien Auger earned the game's first star by making 34 saves as the Sea Dogs (3-1-0) downed Gatineau (1-3-0).


Huskies 5 Armada 4 (SO)

At Boisbriand, Que., Maxime St-Cyr scored the winner in the seventh round of the shootout and Robin Gusse stopped 34 shots through regulation and overtime as Rouyn-Noranda (4-1-0) edged the Armada (3-0-1).


Voltiguers 4 Foreurs 3

At Drummondville, Que., the Voltiguers (3-1-0) scored all four of their goals on the power play to beat Val-d'Or (1-2-0), including Guillaume Gauthier who scored twice.
