Jerome Gauthier-Leduc and Alex Belzile both scored in the shootout as the Rimouski Oceanic beat the Drummondville Voltiguers 4-3 Saturday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Etienne Boutet led the way for the Oceanic (13-8-0), in regulation time, with two goals and Ryan MacKinnon added a single.
Bryce Milson, Andre Bouvet-Morrissette and Marc-Olivier Brouillard scored for the Voltiguers (10-10-2).
Jacob Gervais-Chouinard made 22 saves for the win while Charlie Millen turned aside 23 shots in defeat.
The teams combined to go 0-for-6 on the power play.
Elsewhere in the QMJHL, it was: Saint John 3, Baie-Comeau 2; Victoriaville 4, P.E.I. 2 and Blainville-Boisbriand 3, Rouyn-Noranda 1.
At Rimouski, Que., After a scoreless first period, Milson scored at 3:45 of the second to open the scoring and give Drummondville a 1-0 lead.
MacKinnon scored at 7:21 to tie the game and it would stay 1-1 after 40 minutes of play.
The Voltiguers regained a one-goal lead when Brouillard scored at 10:10 of the third period but Rimouski tied it at two only 48 seconds later when Boutet scored his first of the game.
The Oceanic took their first lead of the game when Boutet scored his second goal of the game at 18:37.
With the goalie pulled for the extra man, Bouvet-Morrissette scored to tie the game at three and force overtime.
After no one scored in overtime, Belzile scored the shoot-out winner for Rimouski.
