Brandon Whitney made 24 saves Friday as the Victoriaville Tigres defeated the Gatineau Olympiques 3-2 in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Phillippe Halley and Philip Danault each had a goal and an assist for Victoriaville (9-5-0), while Carl-Antoine Delisle also scored. Yannick Dube added two assists.
Taylor Burke and Jean-Gabriel Pageau replied for Gatineau (7-6-0). Francois Lacerte made 30 saves in defeat.
Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was: P.E.I. 2, Moncton 1; Baie-Comeau 5, Rimouski 3; and Saint John 9, Rouyn-Noranda 4.
At Victoriaville, Que., Burke gave the Olympiques a 1-0 lead at 7:43 of the first period.
But Danault tied the score 1-1 at 9:57 and Halley gave Victoriaville the lead at 13:35.
Delisle made it 3-1 for the Tigres just 29 seconds into the second before Pageau made it a one-goal game again on the power play at 6:14.
Gatineau finished 1-for-5 with the man advantage, while Victoriaville went scoreless on its only opportunity.

At Charlottetown, Roman Will made 18 saves and Ben Duffy scored the winner in the first period as the Rocket (4-8-1) defeated Moncton (7-7-1).
Drakkar 5, Oceanic 3
At Rimouski, Que., Alexandre Durette and Jonathan Lessard each scored twice as Baie-Comeau (9-3-0) got past the Oceanic (6-7-0).
Sea Dogs 9, Huskies 4
At Rouyn-Noranda, Que., Danick Gauthier scored a hat trick as Saint John (8-5-0) thumped the Huskies (6-7-1).
