QMJHL Roundup: A look at Friday's games @NHLdotcom

The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles continue to surprise early on in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League this season.

Cory MacIntosh scored the winner 7:32 into the third period as Cape Breton reeled off four unanswered goals Friday to rally past the Halifax Mooseheads 4-3.

The Screaming Eagles finished in last place in the QMJHL's Maritimes Division last season. Their 41 points were the lowest of any playoff team and they were swept out of the post-season in four games by the Saint John Sea Dogs.

This season, Cape Breton is 6-3-0 and leading the division ahead of the highly-touted Sea Dogs and Moncton Wildcats.

Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was: Saint John 4, Drummondville 2; Quebec 5, Moncton 1; Rouyn-Noranda 6, Blaineville-Broisbriand 2; Shawinigan 7, Acadie-Bathurst 2; and Val-d'Or 5 Gatineau 2.

At Sydney, N.S., Kyle Farrell got the Screaming Eagles on the board in the second period. Sebastien Payette and David Rose both scored in the first six minutes of the third.

Travis Randell, Darcy Ashley and Matthew Boudreau staked Halifax (3-4-0) to a 3-0 lead at the midway point of the second period.

Sea Dogs 4, Voltigeurs 2

At Drummondville, Que., Scott Oke had a short-handed goal and Tomas Jurco scored on the power play as Saint John (5-3-0) topped the Voltigeurs (4-4-0).


Remparts 5, Wildcats 1

At Quebec City, Adam Erne had two goals and an assist as the Remparts (4-2-1) cruised past Moncton (5-4-0).


Huskies 6, Armada 2

At Broisbriand, Que, Robbie DeFulviis had a pair of goals as Rouyn-Noranda (3-4-1) sunk the Armada (3-5-0).


Cataractes 7, Titan 2

At Shawinigan, Que., Anton Zlobin had a hat trick, including the eventual winner, as the Cataractes (6-3-0) rocked Acadie-Bathurst (3-5-1).


Foreurs 5, Olympiques 2

At Val-d'Or, Que., Artem Sergeev struck twice and the Foreurs (4-4-1) never relinquished their lead to Gatineau (3-5-0).
