BOSTON - The Providence Bruins announced today, April 16, that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Brady Lyle and forward Alex-Olivier Voyer on two-year AHL contracts.

The team also announced that they have agreed to terms on a one-year AHL contract extension with defenseman Joel Messner.

Lyle, 20, posted 22 goals and 43 assists for 65 points with a plus-25 rating in 62 OHL games with the Owen Sound Attack in 2019-20. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound defenseman has spent the last five seasons in the OHL with the Owen Sound Attack and North Bay Battalion, totaling 49 goals and 126 assists for 175 points in 295 games. He is a native of North Bay, Ontario.

Olivier-Voyer, 21, tallied 44 goals and 44 assists for 88 points with 76 penalty minutes and a plus-55 rating in 63 QMJHL games with the Sherbrooke Phoenix in 2019-20. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound winger has spent the last five seasons in the QMJHL with the Sherbrooke Phoenix and Rimouski Oceanic, totaling 95 goals and 108 assists for 203 points in 289 games. He is a native of Sherbrooke, Quebec.

Messner, 26, notched eight goals and 29 assists for 37 points with 43 penalty minutes and a plus-three rating in 59 ECHL games with the Atlanta Gladiators in 2019-20. The 6-foot-2, 207-pound blueliner appeared in 32 AHL games with the Providence Bruins in 2018-19, scoring one goal and six assists. Prior to signing professionally, the Lorette, Manitoba native played four seasons at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
