Prospects Update: Heinen, Grzelcyk Lead Providence

BostonBruins.com- The Providence Bruins (7-6-3) split a weekend series with the St. John's IceCaps, beginning with a 2-1 win on Friday night and ending with a 4-3 shootout loss on Saturday.
The P-Bruins collected three points and now sit fifth in the Atlantic Division (20 points).
Danton Heinen returned after missing two games with an injury and scored two goals in the loss Saturday. He has five goals and three assists in nine games. Matt Grzelcyk tallied three assists over the two games and has 1-8-9 totals in 19 games.

Peter Cehlarik potted the winning goal on Friday night and leads Providence with eight goals. He also assisted on Heinen's second goal Saturday and ranks second on the P-Bruins with 14 points. Colton Hargove (3-3-6) had an assist in each game.
Daniel Vladar made 30 saves to grab the victory Friday. The 19-year-old is 3-0-2 with a 2.84 goals against average and .914 save percentage in six games.
Here is what some of the other Bruins prospects were up to over the weekend:

Anders Bjork, Notre Dame (NCAA)

Bjork added three more points (one goal, two assists) to his total and now has 23, which is good for the third-highest total in college hockey. His nine goals and 14 assists both lead 12th-ranked Notre Dame.
The 2014 fifth-round pick helped the Fighting Irish to a 5-3 win over Holy Cross in the opening game of the Shillelagh Tournament Friday by assisting on ND's first and third goals, while also converting on a highlight-reel tally in the third to put the Irish up 4-2.
"He was [the best player on the ice]," Notre Dame coach Jeff Jackson told the team's website. "Not just offensively, but he was finishing checks; he was back-checking hard. I was proud of him tonight. I'm trying to encourage him to be more than just a one-dimensional player and tonight he was.
"He did a good job on the penalty kill; he used his speed on defense as much as he did on offense. I just try to keep talking to him about doing that to get more offense and tonight he had some good offensive opportunities."

Ryan Donato, Harvard (NCAA)

Donato tallied the winning goal and added two assists in ninth-ranked Harvard's 5-2 win over Bentley Saturday. The forward has five goals and six assists in nine games.

Jesse Gabrielle, Prince George (WHL)

The forward had an assist in a 6-3 loss to Portland Sunday. Gabrielle has 12 goals and 10 assists in 20 games.

Cameron Hughes, Wisconsin (NCAA)

Hughes notched an assist in Wisconsin's 6-5 loss to Denver Saturday and now has 2-8-10 totals in 12 games this season.

Jeremy Lauzon, Rouyn-Noranda (QMJHL)

Playing in his first game since Nov. 12, Lauzon had a goal and an assist in a 5-4 loss to Victoriaville on Friday. The blue liner has played just nine game this season because of injury, tallying two goals and six assists.

Ryan Lindgren, Minnesota (NCAA)

The second-round pick from last June's NHL Draft picked up his first collegiate point on Friday night when he assisted on Vinny Lettieri's goal in the first period of a 6-4 loss to Northeastern at Matthews Arena.

Zach Senyshyn, Sault Ste. Marie (OHL)

The 2015 first-round pick had a strong weekend for the Greyhounds. He scored in a 6-1 win over North Bay on Thursday, added a goal and an assist in a 5-3 win over Mississauga on Friday, and closed things off with another helper in an 8-3 victory over Oshawa on Saturday. Senyshyn has nine goals and eight assists in 20 games.
