Day, who was named the game's first star, assisted on the game's first goal in the first period before picking up his second helper in the third. Day's goal came on the power play midway through the third period to cap the scoring.
The 2016 third-round pick has four goals and 10 assists for 14 points through 15 postseason games with the Frontenacs.
Forward Tim Gettinger and the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds look to take a 3-1 series lead over Kitchener tonight in the other OHL bracket. Gettinger has a pair of goals and 11 assists for 13 playoff points this year.
