The Predators will skate in their second game in two nights this evening in Edmonton (at 8 p.m. CT).
Nashville (19-7-4) could retake the top spot in the Western Conference tonight with a victory (coupled with a St. Louis Blues' loss to the Anaheim Ducks) after they won, 7-1, in Vancouver on Wednesday evening. P.K. Subban scored twice, Craig Smith collected three points and Pekka Rinne made 25 saves in the victory.
The Edmonton Oilers (13-16-2) have won two of three but are currently mired in a very disappointing season and sit next-to-last in the West. The Oilers have also lost nine consecutive games to the Predators and have been held to two-or-fewer goals in eight of those games.
