The Calgary Flames (41-28-4) are in a nearly identical position to Nashville, holding the first Wild Card spot in the West and with an opportunity to move into third in the Pacific Division with a victory.
Three points separate the Preds and Flames in the standings as they meet for the final time this season. Nashville held on for a 4-3 win at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Jan. 19, while the Flames lost a three-goal lead and then claimed a 6-5 win in overtime on Feb. 21 in Music City.
Nashville held an optional morning skate on Thursday with Filip Forsberg, Vernon Fiddler (upper-body injury), Juuse Saros and 16 others taking the ice. Mike Fisher, who has not practiced the last two days, did not take part in the optional skate.
