Procyshen scores late as Americans edge Kelowna 4-3 in Game 1 @NHLdotcom

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Taylor Procyshen scored the game-winner with 1:53 left in the game to lead the Tri-City Americans to a 4-3 victory over the Kelowna Rockets in the first game of their WHL Western Conference semifinal series Friday night.

After a scoreless first period, the Rockets opened the scoring on a goal by Evan Bloodoff, but the Americans answered 10 minutes later with a tally by Jason Reese.

Tri-City came out firing in the third, taking a 3-1 lead with goals by Kruise Reddick and Jarrett Toll. Kelowna evened things up with goals by Lucas Bloodoff and Tyson Barrie before Procyshen put the game away.

Reddick and Mitch Fadden each had two assists for the Americans, while Chet Pickard finished with 23 saves.

Mark Guggenberger stopped 35 shots for the Rockets.
