Priamo's four-point performance lifts Plymouth past Guelph 5-3

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Overage forward Tim Priamo had two goals and two assists as the Guelph Storm downed the Plymouth Whalers 5-3 in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night.

Linemate Luke Pither scored once and added two helpers for the Storm, who remained perfect through three games this season. Matt Kennedy and Peter Holland had the other Guelph goals.

Goaltender Thomas McCollum, the first round pick of Detroit in June's NHL draft, earned the win, making 34 saves. A number of Red Wings brass attended the game, including GM Ken Holland, senior vice-president Jim Devellano and head scout Jim Nill.

Patrick Lee, Ryan Hayes and Chris Terry replied for Plymouth (1-3-0-0). Netminder Jeremy Smith, making his season debut after being returned Friday from Nashville's NHL camp, turned aside 38 shots.
