Preisinger scores twice as Sarnia uses strong third period to sting Oshawa 6-2

OSHAWA, Ont. - Miroslav Preisinger scored twice as part of a four-goal third period as the Sarnia Sting defeated the Oshawa Generals 6-2 Sunday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Preisinger broke a 2-2 tie 36 seconds into the third and the Sting took control midway through, sparked by a penalty shot goal from JC Campagna and a short-handed tally by Craig Hottot.

Brandon Alderson and Tyler Peters also scored for Sarnia (8-5-1).

Boone Jenner opened the scoring for Oshawa 1:25 into the game with his eighth of the season, the most among OHL rookies.

Andy Andreoff scored the other goal for the Generals (7-5-2), who led 2-1 after 20 minutes.

Adam Courchaine made 31 saves in goal for the Sting, while Michael Zador stopped 26 in his seventh straight start for the Generals.
