It's the second game of a back-to-back for both teams, with the Canadiens falling 4-1 to the Sabres on Friday night in Buffalo.
Josh Anderson was the lone goal-scorer for Montreal on Friday, capitalizing on a turnover in the Buffalo slot to net his fifth of the season in the first period.

The Habs were unable to light the lamp again in the contest, weathering a difficult second period in which they were outshot 14-2.
Tage Thompson (2), Cody Eakin, and Kyle Okposo were the goal-scorers on the winning side.
Goaltender Sam Montembeault made 35 saves in the loss, his fifth start of the season for Montreal.
We'll have to wait for Dominique Ducharme's pregame presser to find out about any lineup changes for Saturday, but we already know it'll be Jake Allen between the pipes at PPG Paints Arena.
For their part, the Penguins are on a roll. They beat the Islanders 1-0 at UBS Arena in the first game of their back-to-back on Friday for their fifth win in a row. Pittsburgh has scored 16 goals during its current streak.
Kasperi Kapanen scored the only marker in the Penguins' win over New York, while Tristan Jarry made 25 saves for his 10th win and third shutout of the year. Jarry's three shutouts have come in his last five games.
Jake Guentzel picked up a helper on Kapanen's goal. He's had a stellar start to the season, having earned a point in every single road game the Penguins have played so far. He's also now riding an impressive eight-game point streak in which he's posted five goals and nine points. In fact, Guentzel has only been held off the scoresheet four times all season, and his 17 points lead all Penguins skaters.
Evan Rodrigues (7G+7A=14P) and Kapanen (5G+7A=12P) rank second and third, respectively, in team scoring.
The only player officially on the shelf for Pittsburgh right now is star forward Evgeni Malkin, who is recovering from offseason surgery and has yet to play a game this season. Forward Bryan Rust was being evaluated for a lower-body injury following the Islanders game.
This is the second of three meetings between the two teams. The Penguins took the first contest 6-0 on November 18 at the Bell Centre, while the final Habs-Pens showdown is slated for December 14 in Steel City.
