Here's everything you need to know heading into Game 5:
Looking back
Sunday night's loss at the Bell Centre was tough to swallow. The Canadiens took the lead with 65 seconds left in the second period on a breakaway goal by Paul Byron, but defenseman Bradyden McNabb tied things up for the Golden Knights midway through the third. Overtime was required for a second straight game to decide a winner. This time around, it was Vegas that came out on top courtesy of centreman Nicolas Roy, who lit the lamp just 78 seconds into the extra frame to level the Stanely Cup Semifinal series at two games apiece. Carey Price turned aside 19 of 21 shots in the loss.
The Canadiens didn't surrender a power play goal for an 11th consecutive game, which represents the longest streak in NHL playoff history, surpassing the 10-game mark recorded by the Detroit Red Wings in 1937, the New York Rangers in 1940, and the New Jersey Devils in 2000. Montreal has killed off 27 straight penalties during the impressive stretch.
Watch list
Byron loves big moments:Byron scored his second goal of the series with another picture-perfect effort. In doing so, the 32-year-old winger extended his point streak to three games. Byron has three points (2 goals, 1 assist) in the series, which has him tied for top spot in that department alongside rookie Cole Caufield. Montreal boasts a 4-1 record in the playoffs when Byron registers his name on the scoresheet. The Ottawa native has been a huge factor in four postseason victories this season. Byron has scored two game-winning goals (Game 1 against Toronto and Game 2 against Vegas), and assisted on two overtime goals (Jesperi Kotkaniemi in Game 6 against Toronto and Josh Anderson in Game 3 against Vegas). It's safe to say that the Canadiens are in good shape when Byron does some damage offensively.

So young, but so dominant:Centreman Nick Suzuki continues to make a name for himself in Canadiens playoff history. For a second straight game, the London, ON native helped a teammate score on a breakaway. In the process, Suzuki surpassed 11-time Stanley Cup champion, Henri Richard, for third place in terms of the number of playoff points before age 22. The former Golden Knights draft pick has 17 points in 25 career playoff games. Claude Lemieux (29 points in 37 games) and Stéphane Richer (22 points in 29 games) are the only two players ahead of him. Suzuki became the second Canadiens player to reach double digits in playoff points this year, joining Tyler Toffoli (12 points).

Key contributor:If the Canadiens hope to reach the Stanley Cup Final, they'll need more balanced offensive contributions from their defensemen. Erik Gustafsson is the only blueliner with a goal thus far. The Habs' rearguards have combined for 16 points (1 goal, 15 assists) since the playoffs began. Meanwhile, 13 of the last 22 goals Price has given up have come courtesy of opposition defensemen. Joel Edmundson leads Montreal with five assists in 15 postseason appearances.

At the other end
Head coach Peter DeBoer's decision to start goaltender Robin Lehner in place of Marc-André Fleury on Sunday night paid off. Lehner made 27 saves to register his first win of the playoffs.
As for McNabb, he became the seventh Vegas defenseman to score a goal during the postseason. That matches an NHL playoff record previously accomplished by the New Jersey Devils (1995), the Washington Capitals (1994), the Pittsburgh Penguins (1991) and the Calgary Flames (1988).

A memorable night:Roy will remember his goal on Sunday night forever. It was the first overtime-winner of his career in the playoffs. The 24-year-old centreman became the 11th Quebec native to score an overtime-winner against the Canadiens in the postseason, and the first to do so in Montreal since Ron Harris of the Rangers in Game 5 of the 1974 Quarterfinals. Roy has eight points (4 goals, 4 assists) in 17 playoff games this year.

Seizing the opportunity:Lehner's second playoff outing went far better than his first. The 29-year-old surrendered seven goals on 37 shots in Game 1 of the second-round series against the Colorado Avalanche. In 28 career playoff games, the Swede has a 14-13 record, along with a 2.16 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. Lehner has struggled against the Canadiens over the course of his career, however. He owns a 4-5-4 record versus Montreal in the regular season, compiling a 2.77 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage in 15 games.

Offensive defensemen:Vegas defensemen lead the NHL with a combined 42 points in the playoffs. Seven of the 10 goals the Golden Knights have scored against Montreal have come from their blueliners. Assistant captain Alex Pietrangelo leads the way with three goals in four games. The King City, ON native ranks second on the roster with 11 points (4 goals, 7 assists) in 17 playoff games this year.
