A long year of virtual interaction with friends and family has passed, and the days of staying inside are slowly coming to an end. On Wednesday, the Nashville Predators Foundation empowered by SmileDirectClub hosted their first in-person event of 2021.
The Predators 2021 Wine Fest presented by Deacon's New South and Puckett's put a new spin on an old favorite at Deacon's New South and Puckett's downtown. Attendees enjoyed food sampling, wine tasting and a viewing of the Predators' away game against Chicago for a watch party like never before.

"The Preds Foundation is so excited to be able to be back hosting fundraising events in some capacity," Predators Community Relations Coordinator Taylor Klein said. "We are fortunate to have great community partners like Deacon's and Puckett's to help bring this event to life and help raise some money for our Smashville community."
Typically, the Wine Fest would be held at Bridgestone Arena with 1,200 people in attendance and more than 200 different wines and 30 restaurants to sample from. While the adaptation is not what fans may be used to, the event had a much more intimate and was a great way for individuals to enjoy the first in-person Foundation event since the calendar flipped.
At Deacon's New South and Puckett's, fans were guided through a wine and food pairing by experts featuring five varietals of a specific brand of wine paired with dinner, all while watching the Preds game on the TVs.
Throughout the night, the Predators Foundation took every precaution necessary to ensure all guests were following COVID-19 protocols according to the Metro Nashville Health Department and CDC guidelines and remain Smashville Safe.
All proceeds supported the Predators Foundation, which will directly benefit their community programs and grants. For more information on the Preds Foundation and upcoming events, including the Foundation Fiesta on May 5 at Topgolf,
