Predators sign J.P. Dumont to 4-year, $16M contract @NHLdotcom

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -J.P. Dumont signed a four-year, $16 million contract with the Nashville Predators while in the middle of a season in which he ranks second on the team in goals, assists and points.

Dumont, in his second year with the Predators, has a franchise-record 16-game point streak dating to Dec. 29. He had a club-record six-game goal streak this season. For the year, he has 18 goals, 27 assists and 45 points.

In the last seven seasons, he's had 160 goals and 207 assists in 568 games with Chicago, Buffalo and Nashville.
