Predators rookie Jones OK after scare @NHLdotcom

Nashville Predators rookie defenseman Seth Jones appears to be OK one day after he was hit in the face by a puck. Jones was at practice Sunday and told The Tennessean that his visor absorbed part of the blow.

"Thanks everyone for all the support," Jones tweeted Sunday. "It was a scary injury, but I'm all good and back on the ice now."

Jones was injured Saturday with eight seconds remaining in the first period and did not return to the game. He was hit on the left side of his face by a deflected slap shot from Montreal Canadiens defenseman Andrei Markov.

The No. 4 pick of the 2013 NHL Draft, Jones, 19, has 10 points and is third on the Predators with an average of 21:34 minutes of ice time per game.
