Nashville, Tenn. (October 22, 2018) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled goaltender Troy Grosenick from Milwaukee (AHL). Additionally, the team has reassigned goaltender Miroslav Svoboda to Milwaukee (AHL).
Grosenick, 29 (8/27/89), is off to a 3-0-0 start with the Admirals this season, recording a 2.60 goals-against average and .918 save percentage in three games. It's Grosenick's second season with the Admirals - he played in seven contests with the team after being acquired from San Jose on Feb. 25, 2018, going 3-4-0 with a .911 save percentage. The Admirals have jumped out to a 5-1-1-0 record (11 points) to lead the Central Division and have picked up wins in two of their last three games.
Never drafted, Grosenick is in his sixth professional season and has posted a 91-60-16 record in 178 AHL appearances to go along with a 2.60 goals-against average and 13 shutouts. The Brookfield, Wis., native has played in two NHL games with the San Jose Sharks - stopping 55 of 58 shots faced - and pitched a shutout in his League debut on Nov. 16, 2014 at Carolina.
