Predators re-sign Belak to one-year contract @NHLdotcom
The Nashville Predators on Thursday signed forward Wade Belak to a one-year contract that President of Hockey Operations and General Manager David Poile said is worth $575.000.

Belak. 33. dressed for 39 Predators games in 2009-10. putting up a pair of assists and 58 penalty minutes. He did not dress in any of Nashville's six playoff games against Chicago. Since being acquired on Thanksgiving 2008. the Saskatoon. Sask., native has 4 assists and 112 penalty minutes in 77 games with Nashville.

Belak was Quebec's first choice (No. 12) in the 1994 Entry Draft and has played in 534 career NHL games for five teams (Colorado. Calgary. Toronto. Florida and Nashville) since 1996-97. notching 33 points (8 goals. 25 assists) and 1.245 penalty minutes.
