Hey, someone was going to be on the wrong side of the Seattle Kraken's first win.
Luckily for the NHL's newest team, it was against the established team that commemorates everything. The Nashville Predators raised a banner for the Kraken after Seattle officially picked up its first win, 4-3 at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday. Not a real banner, a Twitter banner.
The Predators have had a running gag with raising fake banners. Back in 2018 they made up a a trio of them , one for hottest chicken in the NHL, one for coldest building in Nashville and one as the bachelorette party capital. The Kraken will certainly take the banner to commemorate their historic victory, fake or not. At the very least, it's a nice souvenir.
