Nashville Predators forward Mike Fisher and defenseman Cody Franson remain day-to-day, coach Peter Laviolette said Monday according to the team.

Fisher, who missed the final two regular-season games with a lower-body injury, practiced briefly Monday. Franson, who missed the regular-season finale with an upper-body injury, did not skate.

The Predators host the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday in Game 1 of the Western Conference First Round at Bridgestone Arena (8:30 p.m. ET; NBCSN, TVA Sports, SN360, CSN-CH, FS-TN).

The Predators recalled forward Kevin Fiala from Milwaukee of the American Hockey League. The 18-year-old was Nashville's first-round pick (No. 11) in the 2014 NHL Draft and made his debut on March 24 against the Montreal Canadiens.
